Hybrid filmmaking

Real people. Built worlds.

We film the performance for real: the faces, the expressions, the moment. Then we build the world around it with AI, in any place, light, season or era, and finish it in-house so nobody can see where the shoot ends.

Shot vs final

Drag to see where the shoot ends.

The left side is the frame as it was filmed. The right side is the finished film. Move the line, and judge the join for yourself.

What’s real, what’s built

The line, drawn plainly.

Every hybrid film keeps the same line between what we film and what we build, and ships with a record of it.

Filmed for real

  • The performance and every expression
  • The cast, their faces and their voices
  • Wardrobe, hair and make-up
  • Anything a hand touches: the product, the props
  • The light on skin, set on the day

Built around it

  • The location, the skyline and the horizon
  • Sky, weather and the time of day
  • The season and the era
  • Crowds, traffic and the life of a street
  • Atmosphere: haze, dust, rain and reflections

What it makes possible

The film you wanted, in the world it needed.

  • Any place

A rooftop over Riyadh, the dunes at dawn, a city abroad: your cast stands there without the move, the permits or the closed road.

  • Any light, any weather

Golden hour that lasts all day, rain in July, a winter night. The light is chosen, not waited for.

  • Any era

Old Riyadh, historic Diriyah, a future skyline. Period worlds built with the detail a heritage story deserves.

  • Places not built yet

A development, a venue or a destination shown finished, from approved plans, with real people living in it.

  • Scale and crowds

A packed stadium, a national-day street, a full majlis: the scale of the moment without the logistics of it.

  • One shoot, many versions

The same performance placed in a different city, season or setting for each market and moment, in every ratio.

More breakdowns.

The right route

Not every scene should be built.

We choose per scene: film it live, play it on a virtual production stage, or build the world around the shoot. The treatment tells you which, and why.

  1. Film it live

Best when When the place is the point

A real location the audience knows, a product in the hand, a documentary moment. Some scenes should simply be filmed.

  2. Virtual production stage

Best when When the world must react on the day

Reflections on a car, light moving across a face in real time. The world plays on an LED stage behind the cast.

  3. Hybrid: built around the shoot

Best when When the world is out of reach

A place, era, season or scale you could not film. The performance is shot on set and the world is built around it.

The standard

What the best looks like.

  • Faces are never generated

The emotion is real because the performance is. A face or a voice changes only with written consent.

  • The world is approved first

Look frames are signed before the shoot. Nothing is left to fix in post.

  • Shot for the blend

Lit to the world's light, with clean plates, lighting references and every lens and angle recorded.

  • An invisible join

Perspective, shadows, hair and fabric edges, haze and grain matched by hand. No flicker, no drift from shot to shot.

  • True to the Kingdom

Najdi and Hijazi architecture, the right thobe, shemagh and abaya, Arabic signage spelled right. Generic "Arabian" is corrected by hand.

  • Finished like a film

Graded, scored and mixed in-house, delivered to broadcast specification in every ratio.

How the work runs

01

Design the world

The idea becomes a treatment and a set of world frames: the place, the light, the season, the era. The client approves the world before anyone is booked.

02

Shoot the people

Cast, wardrobe and performance are filmed on a cinema camera, lit and framed for the world they will stand in, with every lens and angle recorded.

03

Build the world

The environment, sky, crowd and atmosphere are built around the performance, matched shot to shot so the world holds from the first frame to the last.

04

Blend and finish

Light on skin, shadows, edges, haze and grain are matched by hand, then the film is graded, scored and mixed in-house.

05

Clear and deliver

Every cut and format the campaign needs, with the releases, the licences and the record of what was filmed and what was built.

Responsibly made

Cleared and accounted for.

  • Consent that covers AI

Every release names the AI work. No likeness, voice or digital double without written permission.

  • Commercially licensed

Generation runs on commercially licensed tools, with no celebrity likeness and no borrowed characters.

  • A record of real and built

Delivered with the film: what was filmed, what was built, and how, shot by shot.

  • In line with the Kingdom's rules

Personal data handled under the PDPL, likeness use aligned with SDAIA's guidance, and AI labels where a platform requires them.

Questions buyers ask.

What is hybrid filmmaking?

A film where the people are shot for real and the world around them is built with AI. You keep the truth of a real performance and gain a place, season or era you could not, or would not, film.

Will it look like AI?

No, and that is the standard we hold. The world is designed before the shoot, the shoot is lit to match it, and the blend is finished by hand. If a frame reads as generated, it does not leave the house.

Do you change the actors' faces or performances?

No. The performance is what we film for real. A face or a voice is only ever altered with the person's written consent, agreed before the shoot.

Where is it filmed?

In a studio or a simple location, chosen and lit for the world the scene will become. The place on screen is built afterwards.

Can you show a place that does not exist yet?

Yes. A development, a venue or a destination can be built from the client's approved plans and references, with real people living in it on screen.

Can one shoot give us several versions?

Yes. The same performance can be placed in a different city, season or time of day for each market or moment, planned in the treatment so every version is shot for.

Who owns the film, and is it safe to use?

The film is delivered with the rights cleared for the agreed use: talent releases that cover AI work, commercially licensed generation, and a record of what was filmed and what was built, in line with the Kingdom's personal data rules.

How long does a hybrid film take?

It runs on a commercial's rhythm: the world is designed and approved first, the shoot is short, and the world is built and finished in post. The exact plan is set with the treatment, and a fixed launch date is planned backwards.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes, as a discreet partner. We deliver a finished hybrid film or the hybrid shots into the agency's own edit, and the client relationship stays the agency's.

What do we receive?

The graded film in every ratio the campaign needs (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5), Arabic and English versions, sound mixed for each channel, and the record of what was filmed and what was built.

Is AI always the right answer?

No. Some scenes should simply be filmed, some belong on a virtual production stage, and some are best built. We choose per scene, and tell you why in the treatment.

Bring us a world you couldn’t film.
